The Hungarian Cultural Institute of Subcarpathia was inaugurated on Friday in the Ukrainian city of Berehove. Berehove major István Gajdos, who also heads Ukraine's Hungarian Democratic Federation, said the Hungarian Cultural Institute of Subcarpathia will strengthen the institutional system of ethnic Hungarians in Ukraine. It will also fit in well with other institutions for ethnic Hungarians, he added.
